How is Silvio's pizza different? It's an authentic Italian pizza. Most pizzas in the USA have a bland crust, thick cheese and uninspired toppings. They do not resemble the original. Silvio's pizza is thoroughly Italian. Silvio is from Italy's Abruzzo region. For 25 years, in his father's bakery, Silvio was lovingly taught to produce the highest quality breads and pizza dough.
Silvio's sauce is based on fresh organic herbs and organic tomatoes. The flavorful crust incorporates fine olive oil and is made with organic flour exactly the way Silvio's father made it. Most of Silvio's always-fresh toppings are not available at other pizzerias.
At Silvio's, we use organic ingredients because we value health... ours, yours, and the health of our planet. Organic farming foregoes the use of herbicides, insecticides and chemical fertilizers. As a result; soil is not degraded, water supplies are not contaminated and food is safer. Organic farming is labor intensive, so our ingredients may cost a little more, but we believe the results, both environmentally and for the table are worth the investment. Whenever we cannot find certified organic ingredients, we will use ingredients from producers who respect and follow save "Organic Procedures".

The Lord Fox Restaurant is a 125 year old house on six picturesque acres in the hamlet of Dixboro, just outside the city limits of Ann Arbor.Built in 1880, the house was situated on the main route between Ann Arbor and Detroit and in the 1920's was opened as the "Farm Cupboard Restaurant" to offer weary travelers food and drink.However,some say it was more than a restaurant in those early days, operating as a "blind pig" before the repeal of prohibition, many a poker game was held in the basement room, now known as the "Foxes Den."Also, in those early years, Henry Ford, could be seen here with union buster Harry Bennett as the rode their horses to the Farm Cupboard for Sunday dinner.Today, the Lord Fox remains a family owned restaurant and retains much of the "Gone With the Wind" style rarely seen in this area.You may choose to dine indoors, outdoors, or in the lovely gazebo overlooking Fleming Creek that runs through the estate.
