NAVYA Indian Thai Fusion Cuisine
The name Navya literally translates as young, fresh and new in Sanskrit, Hindi and multiple other Indian languages. This word embodies and symbolizes our forward thinking in the presentation of food and ambience. It ensures that the preparation of the food is nurtured by a contemporary but also authentic atmosphere that comforts. The menu emphasizes refined yet progressive Indian cuisine incorporating a fusion of Indian, Thai and Asian influences.
It provides both traditional classic favorites and original signature dishes uniting eastern twist with a western turn!

Acclaimed favorites include Indian Home Smoked Salmon, Lamb Rogan Josh and Chocolate Silk, a dish that has been greatly imitated by establishments in other cities.
Located in the heart of beautiful downtown Seattle in the Rainier Square Building, the restaurant is easily accessible from either 4th or 5th Ave on University Street. The parking garage accommodated with valet parking is accessible from the Union Street side of the building. The chic contemporary interior of the restaurant subtly reflects the rich vibrancy of Asia with a glowing palette of rich colors; copper, yellows, bronze and green.
The main restaurant area seats 120 and is available for all party varieties, private entertaining, banquet events, fundraisers and weddings by appointment. The stylishly inviting cocktail bar is also used for entertaining private parties of up to 20 guests. Navya Lounge houses an additional two spaciously sized rooms that can be booked for both private conferences and exclusive meetings. Not to forget top of the line and complete catering services that pre-include our in-house wine and food tastings.

The dcor is warm and cozy, with an emphasis on intimacy and elegance. Plush carpeting, authentic Indian art and dark shades of red, are complimented by low romantic lighting. The restaurant consists of an entrance area, for secluded pre-dinner drinks, and a spacious dining area. Many smaller intimate sections provide for romantic candlelit evenings. The food is true authentic North Indian, particularly Punjab.
You have a choice of some exciting starters, individual or meze, including Chicken Tikka, Onion Bhaji . The main specialties include the Chicken Tikka Masala, Prawn Vindaloo and the exciting vegetarian Aloo Sag, which are potatoes cooked to perfection in deliciously spiced spinach gravy. To end off your meal you could go for the exquisite Maharaja specialty kulfi, which is a special Indian ice cream flavoured with saffron and green cardamon.

Besides meat, we offer a lot of vegetarian dishes in a classic North Indian fashion. Bhindi, cut okra is cooked in light tomato sauce with spices. When I am in the Seattle area, one of life's little pleasures is to sample the areas many outstanding restaurants. I am a particular devotee of fine Indian Cuisine. I can say without hesitation that the Royal India is the best in the Puget Sound region. The tandoori dishes, in particular, are simply the finest available anywhere. One of the things I appreciate is that you do not try to have a thousand things on the menu, which hurts quality at other restaurant. Rather, you focus on several representative dishes from India, and you prepare them expertly.
Equally important to me is exceptional, personalized service and attention. You always remember my dining preferences each time I visit. When I arrive at your restaurant, I feel quite at home and most comfortable. I highly recommend your restaurant to others. It is a little off the beaten path, but well worth the journey.
