Ben Moore's Restaurant has been in continuous operation for over forty years. Joseph Wohleb designed the original building in 1906. In 1948, Ben Moore connected the existing bar to what was then a billiard hall (now the dining room) and a Chinese restaurant (currently the kitchen and front entrance). In 1968, Bettina Moore, Ben Moore's wife, remodeled and made the barber shop into what is today the front caf area.
The present operator, Michael Murphy, took over operation in early 1984. He converted the billiard hall into the dining room and the cigar shop into a take-out food shop.
It is our commitment to serve the freshest and finest foods. Our produce is organically grown (no pesticides, no fungicides, no chemical fertilizers) in Thurston county whenever possible. Our seafood is always fresh, our meat choice U.S.D.A. inspected. The only oils we use are olive, canola and butter.
All meals are cooked to order, so if you have a dietary restriction, please let us know.
