Artz Rib House is a South Austin landmark. Art Blondin started out in an old caboose barely north of the river and immediately began winning awards for his ribs in competition, both baby back and country style. He then moved to his present location on South Lamar. Artz is a classic example of down home, laid back South Austin funk. If you come on Sunday be prepared for live bluegrass music playing live all around you. There may be four or five different jams going on at various tables, inside and outside on the patio. A number of years back I saw David Grissom play here to an audience of about twenty lucky customers.

Stallion Grill was an already running restaurant when we took it over. Since the change of ownership we have put in booths to accommodate larger gatherings and changed the tabletops.
