Founders Ron & Peggy Weiss and Jeffrey Weinberger pooled their interests, talents and enthusiasm to open a neighborhood Austin bistro such as they had encountered in their travels. They were part of the first wave of new American cuisine, and they made their mark with an original flair that is unmistakably Jeffrey's alone. Originating in hilly San Francisco, this second location in the Domain offers up a high-end taste of the 1930s supper club experience. A sophisticated color palette of dark-hued tones decorates the plush leather booths, club-chaired tables and elegant bar, creating a luxurious, almost nostalgic, atmosphere with dramatic lighting and aging period photos. Chef Brian Moran concocts classic dishes (lamb chops, chicken Parmesan) as well as some with unexpected touches like salami and egg pizza.
