Since 1992, bd's Mongolian Grill has been delivering unique, interactive dining experiences that set us apart from the competition and is the world's number one create your own stir-fry restaurant concept. With over 35 corporate and franchised locations, bd's Mongolian Grill has created a growing band of loyal customers that believe passionately about their ability to take charge of their own dining event.
Our "You Rule the Experience" philosophy gives guests ownership in choosing their own ingredients from a great variety of meats, seafood, vegetables, salads, sauces and spices. The food is then prepared by master grillers on a 600 7-foot grill.
Founder Billy Downs (bd), opened his first restaurant in Royal Oak/Detroit, Michigan in September 1992. Billy developed a unique approach to the interactive dining experience and strong brand loyalty before selling the company in 2008. As current owners of bd's Mongolian Grill, Mongolian Operating Company, LLC plans to continue the tradition and culture of bd's Mongolian Grill while expanding both at the corporate and franchise level.
