Burma shares borders with Bangladesh, India, China, Laos, and Thailand in Southeast Asia, therefore its cuisine is invariably influenced by these surrounding cultural spices, seasonings, ingredients, and cooking styles. However, the combination of the ingredients of Burmese cuisine and the cooking styles are also what makes Burmese dishes unique. The interior is modern and minimalist, with dark wood floors and tables providing a stark contrast to the white walls. Despite the slick look, it feels warm - probably because owner David Fliger and his mother Nicha are gracious hosts working the floor to greet guests and chat them up.
