Buzzard's Saloon at Western Trails Ranch is an old fashion western full service restaurant & bar. The bar itself is a antique bar that was found deep in Mexico by Budd on one of his many excursions as a member of the Baja Bush Pilots. It's all original except for the new bar top that Budd hand-made himself. It's just about as old west as you can get. You have to experience it to get a full grasp of the unique decorations on the top of the bar it's oh so cool. Our special house drink is the Bloody Mary. Everyone raves about this drink; the juice is a special blend with a secret blend of spices, plus an olive, spicy asparagus, green bean, and a pickle spear. People come from miles around for this drink specialty. You can have it hot or mild. There's always a bunch of great drink specials at Buzzard's Saloon! Domestic Bottled Beer is $3.00 Imported Beers are $3.50. Thursday's & Friday's 3 to 7pm is Happy Hour All Beers Domestic & Imported are $2.00 and 1/2 on all WELL drinks. What A Deal!

We feature three bandstands and two large foot stompin' dance floors - It's just great atmosphere!

The old west town of Cave Creek was settled in the 1870's by miners, ranchers and cattleman, but did not incorporate until 1986, and as the local "Creekers" would say, it's still wild after all these years. In the center of Cave Creek lies Frontier Town which was founded in 1971. This 1880's style theme town is visited by many out-of-town folks year after year in the tourist season, and in our hot summer months the friendly locals help to keep it alive.
The center attraction is the Silver Spur Saloon with indoor and outdoor patio dining, a wedding, reception and special events pavilion, and even an old time barber shop & beauty salon. Wooden boardwalks lead to many fun and wonderful gift shops, surrounded by antiques, wagons, and western artifacts. Frontier Town is one of the last old west towns in Arizona, and is full of history and quirky urban legends passed down over the years from the local characters that have made Cave Creek so special. Fact or fiction, it all makes for good Creeker conversation, and something to share with your out-of-town guests.

During the Arizona Territory days, Reata Pass was on an old stagecoach stop along a dust-filled, rocky trail that wandered often steeply uphill northeast from Phoenix and on to connect Fort McDowell on the Verde River and Prescott. Crossing the McDowell Mountains in those days was no easy task as the climb took its toll on the passengers and horses. Travelers were treated to a hearty meal and cool drink while the horses were being watered; a knee-high foundation of boulders and mortar supported a wooden one-room stage station built in 1882. Portions of the adobe walls and old stone foundation still exist, making Reata Pass the most authentic "cowboy" restaurant in the Valley. The old jailhouse across the road is original and was used elsewhere in the 1880's to hold Indian prisoners.
Roundups (Catering, Banquets & Special Occasions) The staff at Reata Pass can wrangle up a unique venue for your party, wedding, family reunion or corporate event. Seating from 1 to 1000. Lower Sonoran Patio - Serve it up buffet style...sizzling steaks right off the grill while your guests dance to live music. This patio can accommodate up to 300 people and has a private bar setup. The Cookout at Reata - For total privacy, the outdoor Cookout is outfitted with western facade buildings, jail, bar, dance floor and stage and can accommodate up to 350 people. Doc's Patio - Our lovely semi-private "upper" patio can be reserved for your group of up to 105 (availability limited during peak season). The Cattleman's Room - Perfect for the cooler months, this rustic hideaway has a capacity of 100 people--during non-peak evenings we can open up to the adjoining Dining Room for additional seating of 75. The Chapel - Our rustic Chapel caters to wedding events with a capacity of 65.

Grand Ave Opre is one of the 3 Restaurants and stages at Western Trails Ranch. Included with the vast array of outside seating are numerous fire pits to keep you warm in the winter and of course on our 1500 sq. ft. dance floor. Grab some BBQ or a Steak and watch the show! We have entertainment, events, or activities here every weekend. Saturday & Sunday afternoons in the winter and Friday and Saturday nights in the summer. This is adult entertainment; you know a good old fashion honky-tonk. Children are welcome, but since the whole venue is zoned for alcohol; children can only be accompanied by their parents or their legal guardian. This does not mean their grandparents. All persons under the age of 21 must leave the premises by 9pm.

Western Trails Ranch is a wonderful place to have a Western, Country, Traditional, Honky Tonk, or Indian style Wedding, party or event. The venue holds 10,000 people so there is plenty of room. We can accommodate Concerts, Fairs, Company Parties, Holiday Parties, Auctions, Weddings, Vendor Shows, Car & Truck Shows, Charity Events, Bike Runs, Conferences, Meetings, Seminars, Bachelor Parties, Anniversaries, & Birthdays. The fall schedule is booking up fast, so please plan early. We can set-up up a party or event almost anywhere in out 12 acre venue including but not limited to: The Bandstand Area, the Horse Stable Area, The Ice House, The Tee-Pee Village, Bon-Fire Area, The Budweiser Stage, or any of the patios. We have Three Stages and Two Dances floors available. The pricing includes the set-up of chairs or picnic tables, all utensils - including plates, and napkins. This is our most popular rental area for parties.
