The old west town of Cave Creek was settled in the 1870's by miners, ranchers and cattleman, but did not incorporate until 1986, and as the local "Creekers" would say, it's still wild after all these years. In the center of Cave Creek lies Frontier Town which was founded in 1971. This 1880's style theme town is visited by many out-of-town folks year after year in the tourist season, and in our hot summer months the friendly locals help to keep it alive.
The center attraction is the Silver Spur Saloon with indoor and outdoor patio dining, a wedding, reception and special events pavilion, and even an old time barber shop & beauty salon. Reata Pass Steakhouse & The Branding Iron Saloon

During the Arizona Territory days, <b>Reata Pass</b> was on an old stagecoach stop along a dust-filled, rocky trail that wandered often steeply uphill northeast from Phoenix and on to connect Fort McDowell on the Verde River and Prescott. Crossing the McDowell Mountains in those days was no easy task as the climb took its toll on the passengers and horses. Travelers were treated to a hearty meal and cool drink while the horses were being watered; a knee-high foundation of boulders and mortar supported a wooden one-room stage station built in 1882. Portions of the adobe walls and old stone foundation still exist, making Reata Pass the most authentic "cowboy" restaurant in the Valley. The old jailhouse across the road is original and was used elsewhere in the 1880's to hold Indian prisoners.

Trophy's The Hunter's Steakhouse

Trophy's is owned by Kevin and Becky Dettler, who live in Gilbert, AZ at Power Ranch. Their sons, Kiel and Brett also manage the steakhouse. Our theme is the "North American 29". Showcased here are all "29" species of big game animals that inhabit North America. All of these animals were taken by Kevin. They were all taken with the same .300 Weatherby rifle. The name Trophy's came about, as every animal here has qualified for the Safari Club International (SCI) record book of trophy animals. Kevin belongs to SCI, a worldwide hunting organization with more than 200,000 members. In their record book there are less than 120 members who have taken and registered the "North American 29". In order to take the "29", a hunter has to hunt Alaska, many Canadian Provinces, a large number of Western US states, and a few states in Mexico. This endeavor takes the hunter from glaciers, sea ice, tall remote mountains, deep canyons, deserts, and foothills. The weather ranges from -65 degrees below zero to 90 degrees above zero, then there is rain, wind, and snow which seem to be a part of every successful hunt. Emotions range from elation, disappointment, anger, exhaustion, frustration, and great sense of accomplishment. This only covers feelings on the first morning of the first day, of what typically are 10-14 day hunts. The reason the "29" is so elusive for many hunters, is because three things need to happen simultaneously for success. First, the hunter needs to be in great physical shape. It is not uncommon to be running six miles per day before a sheep or goat hunt. Second, a hunter needs to have the time to be gone for weeks at a time for each animal. In many cases, when trophy hunting, you come home without the animal you sought, and have to return again to hunt. Thirdly, a hunter needs the financial ability to cover the very high costs of hunting in North America.

We can accommodate Concerts, Fairs, Company Parties, Holiday Parties, Auctions, Weddings, Vendor Shows, Car & Truck Shows, Charity Events, Bike Runs, Conferences, Meetings, Seminars, Bachelor Parties, Anniversaries, & Birthdays. The fall schedule is booking up fast, so please plan early. We can set-up up a party or event almost anywhere in out 12 acre venue including but not limited to: The Bandstand Area, the Horse Stable Area, The Ice House, The Tee-Pee Village, Bon-Fire Area, The Budweiser Stage, or any of the patios. We have Three Stages and Two Dances floors available. The pricing includes the set-up of chairs or picnic tables, all utensils - including plates, and napkins.
