The Crash Landing is well known as one of Warren's oldest taverns, but the management wants everyone else to know what the business community has known for years it is not just a place for spirits, but also a full line of food as Well.
Crash Landing was beautifully remodeled and serves a complete menu, including some items common only to fancy eateries. The Crash Landing was humorous names by the owner who is well known for having a scarlet biplane that was crashed into was originally placed on the roof of the Restaurant. Recently the authentic old aircraft blew off in a storm and the staff is working on replacing it.
The Crash Landing's menu ranges from finger foods, appetizers, salads, soups and sandwiches, including the Angus beef burger. Other favorites are the ribs, fresh seafood, including Mahi-Mahi and Lobster; and beef entrees with Filet Mignon and New York Strip steak.
The Crash Landing represents fine dining in a casual atmosphere, only a short drive away, for reasonable prices. The kitchen's philosophy is to make everything themselves and not rely on any convenience food service items. The menu features six or seven specials in addition to the regular fare every day, and a happy hour is available 3 to 6 p.m. weekdays. The entire menu is available for carryout. The recently renovated banquet room that seats up to 100 people is very popular. In the summer the banquet room also connects to the outdoor patio, providing even larger, convenient space for special occasions.

Herc's, a sitdown restaurant open from 11am to 2 am, offers a buffet style salad bar and a 60 pound roast beef plus an extensive menu to accomodate all tastes.
In 1978, Sam Chemello opened his Livonia restaurant hoping to take the cafeteria-style theme of the times to a new level.
"We wanted to open up a restaurant with roast beef, but also with good drinks and service", said son and chef, David Chemello.
Herc's serves everything from its roast beef to seafood, chicken, pasta, and Mexican dishes.
"We carry items a lot of people don't know we have," said David Chemello, a Canton Township resident.
Herc's offers a variety of seafood including frog's legs, clam strips, fried shrimp and baked cod. Also featured are specials with scallops, salmon, oysters, and monkfish. Some specialty dishes, served regularly, include dijon-honey pecan crusted salmon and fresh catfish. Herc's also serves a whitefish veracruz, which is a filet of whitefish topped with sauteed green peppers, tomatoes, and olives.
