On June 1, 2005 Construction began on the $4 million 40/40 Club co-owned by business mogul Jay-Z. The 15,000 square foot ultra sports bar and lounge opened its doors on October 25, 2005.<P>The multi-level upscale sports bar and lounge, located at 2120 Atlantic Avenue at The Walk (in front of Caesars Hotel and Casino) features more than 30 TV's and four VIP rooms that fans of the 40/40 club have become accustomed to in New York. The space will also be home to a cigar lounge and retail shop that will feature 40/40 Club clothing and accessories.<P>"Atlantic City is the second stop on our 40/40 club world tour." said Juan Perez. Two of the VIP rooms,the "Caesars Diamond Club Lounge," appropriatelynamed after the master of casino entertainment, Jay's casino of choice, and "A Rod Lounge"(24' X 16' each), are fully equipped with their own personal entertainment centers, 60" plasma TV's, Italian leather wrap-around couches, all controlled by their own touch-screen remotes. Each room can hold up to 70 people for private parties and events.
