The building that houses The Waterfront Hotel was built as a private residence in 1771. It is the second oldest brick building in the city of Baltimore. Converted into a hotel and tavern in 1861, it was most likely used to house troops during the Civil War. After the war, it became a welcome place of rest for weary sailors. It remained a hotel until 1955, when it was converted into a restaurant. The Waterfront earned a reputation as the place to go for great food and lively conversation. More recently, the Waterfront was used as the set for the bar scenes in the television series, Homicide: Life on the Street. Our newest addition, the second floor dining room, offers a great view of the harbor, an updated yet traditional atmosphere, working fireplace and, of course, our excellent food in a non-smoking environment. The Nest is one of Pratt Streets New Hot Spots'. This is one of the few restaurants in the Inner Harbor that is open late during the week and weekends. The new guys running this restaurants are from the mid-west so they bring something fresh. You can appreciate what is on the menu whether you are from the West coast, Mid-West, the East coast or a local Marylander.
"Wow, what a change!"....Likes it - The last time I went to this place it was DSX, but now it is completely different. The new owners/management have gone to extremes to remodel and upgrade this bar/restaurant. It used to be a simple sports bar, but is now an entertainment site. The first two floors are a beautiful sports bar (new TVs, bar, floors, etc..). The second floor also has games, pool table, etc.. The third floor has been completely redone and is a contemporary martini bar. There is also a stage and an increasing amount of live music. They also redid the menu and the food is quite good. I really think this place is going to turn into a great night spot. Another perk are the balcony and patio which allow for smoking. "

Night of the Cookers is located on the historic "Antique Row" in Mt. Vernon of Baltimore. The area is home to the legendary Eubie Blake Center where some of the greatest artist and performers have graced the steps. Night of the Cookers simple adds to the rich spirit of Antique Row. The building design and architecture is breathtaking. There are two levels to the Night of the Cookers. There is also a VIP 3rd floor loft with a flat panel TV. If you are looking for somewhere to impress your date, have a party that speaks volumes for you, host a business meeting, or enjoy your family - this is it. The designer of this place did not ignore the 200-300 years of architecture but instead brought it to life.
The staff is friendly, the bar is more than inviting, but the star of N.O.T.C. is their executive chef - Chef Danielle. Throughout the night the question was asked of Danielle, "Where are you from?" Everyone was surprised to hear she was local, a Baltimore native. In terms of the food, I thought it was a little pricey until I took my first bite, at that point it was clear they may need to charge more. The food was incredible. I've been back several times and there is one word that describes Chef Danielle's food - Consistent.

Before long, there were a lot of 'casual dining' restaurants opening andcall us crazy, but they looked a whole lot like us. We tried to beflattered. Some grew really big, and by the '90s, the whole 'casualdining' landscape was pretty me-too. Instead of watching the consumer,the industry seemed more worried about what competitors were doing.Casual dining lost its way, and in doing so lost its edge.
Fast forward to 2002. That's when we had our 'Aha!' moment (as Oprahwould say). New leadership, new ideas, new inspiration. We completelyre-imagined ourselves, and got back in touch with the consumer. Newmenus. New plates. New building design, new soundtrack. Stylishuniforms. And a modern, warm restaurant design with an open kitchen andprominent bar. Today, our company is built entirely around what theprogressive consumer seeks in a restaurant + bar experience.
