It's probably not your first time in The Flying Dog Cafe' but if it is, we're glad you're here. We've tried to create the kind of place where everyone feels right at home, so sit back and try to relax. We all have a great time working at The Flying Dog and we'll try our best to make sure you have a good time too. Look around. Some of these people eat here everyday. They've realized the perks of being a regular here. You see, after a while we figure out who's going to swell up like a blowfish even at the mention of our famous chili. Or who will go into cardiac arrest if any added fat gets near their food (or thighs). Or which kids will scream like banshees when injected with too much sugar. Now, a little about our boss, the infamous Bruce Famiglio. Bruce left his hometown of Philadelphia, Pa. and headed for the sunny beaches of Sarasota in early 2000. After trying to work in his brother's accounting firm, he realized he'd never find true happiness unless he got back in touch with his "roots." Yes, born and raised in a large Italian family Bruce had always dreamt of someday being a "big dog". In the late 80's and early 90's he had perfected back in Philly , several cafe businesses. In addition, Bruce already has that "happy-go-lucky" attitude, inherited from his little Italian ball of fire he calls "mom" that loved to cook. Therefore, it just seemed natural to jump into the restaurant business again. So in 2005, Bruce opened The Flying Dog Cafe and waited for people to show up. And they did !!! Whether it's for lunch, meeting a friend for a cold beer or a glass of wine after a hard days work , a quick relaxing meal with the kiddos or an evening of live music with talanted locals you will not be disappointed with the generous sandwiches, wraps, salads and awsome chili here at The Dog !!!<P>Large stage with house sound and lighting.<P>Non Smoking Venu<P>Smoking Patio
