In 1941 a family tradition for serving authentic soul food in Oakland, California emerged, when Henry & Wilma Dorsey launched the first family restaurant in West Oakland, supported by his close knitted family.
The business relocated in 1956 to Bosn's Locker on Shattuck Ave. where a cocktail lounge was added to the Restaurant under the supervision of Clarence Dorsey, Tom Dorsey, Armstead Dorsey & Jack Dorsey. Three years later Martin Luther Dorsey came to California from Texas to personally construct and hand build the now existing bar in the Locker.
Henry & Wilma continued the preparations of appetizing home tasting soul food, including bowls of mouth-watering Texas Chili and scrumptious hamburgers.
Bosn's Locker was sold in 1986. However in 1996 the next generation of Dorsey's reclaimed their legacy under the leadership of Donald Dorsey, President, CEO & principal investor in Dorsey & Associates, Inc. sanctioning only family members as share owners, and the change of name to "Dorsey's Locker".
Under the supervision of Joe Dorsey in the kitchen, Dorsey's Locker continues the family tradition of serving the best soul food with a taste of the 'home made'. Bryan Cossey, husband of Brenda Dorsey Cossey currently serves as the Operations Manager for Dorsey's Locker.
Dorsey's Locker is the place to come for a friendly cocktail, or enjoy a taste of authentic soul food in a warm and cozy atmosphere.

Hot & Spicy Cafe New Orleans is located in historical Old Sacramento. Although the dining atmosphere is casual, there is a real charm to it. Seating is on split-levels and there is a unique old plantation fan on the ceiling. One of the only authentic Cajun restaurants in Sacramento, it's a favorite of many locals as well as tourists. Popular dishes include Barbecued Ribs, Blackened Prime Rib, and Catfish. The menu is exceptionally unique and features such items as alligator and crawfish.
