Located in the historic Jack London Square in Oakland, Miss Pearl's has been reinvented by celebrated Bay Area artist Michael Brennan, reminiscent of a homey yet elegant island-style mansion complete with eclectic seating areas to stimulate the senses and soul. The 8,000 square foot restaurant and bar will feature a large bar and lounge, semi-open kitchen, a series of indoor dining rooms, a small private dining space, and adjacent seating on two patios with waterfront views.
"Cabinets of curiosity" flank the rooms - hinting at Miss Pearl's mysterious origins, but never fully revealing her identity. Each room expresses eclectic design motifs, but hold true with the overall island theme. Expect to find abalone shell walls, rich fabrics, chairs covered in pearl essence, reconditioned light fixtures, and herringbone floors.
The lively bar and lounge at Miss Pearl's will feature culinary ingredient-driven, island-style cocktails, sangria, infused rums and a Miss Pearl's tradition - Jello Shots. In addition, Caribbean beers and local food-friendly wines complement the island cuisine.
On the weekends you'll find steel drums and acoustic entertainment on the waterfront patios, and occasionally you'll hear DJs spinning in the lounge, making this restaurant a hot addition to Oakland's Jack London Square.
