The year was 1992 when a talented Italian chef and his business partner opened the first Mio Vicino in it's current location on the corner of Benton and Monroe streets in old town Santa Clara. Our specialty, Cicchetti (pronounced chi-ket-ti) simply means small bites. Originating in Venice in the grand pubs and served from happy to dawn and always paired with a glass or bottle of delicious wine, they are great to share with friends for a snack or choose a few of your own for an indulgent meal.
Antipasti, salad, pasta, panini, piadina, entrees and desserts are also served at Aldo. We are happy to have our lasagna which was a specialty at the now closed Vino e Cucina (The Big Tomato) in San Francisco.
We serve lunch Monday through Friday 11:30am-1:30pm and dinner nightly from 5:30pm-10pm. With easy parking, outdoor seating, a wine bar and a great children's menu, Aldo is sure to have something to make your lunch or dinner enjoyable.
