Located in Park Place-Irvine, Talo Mexican Grill, is the ultimate in upscale service, well-appointed interior and authentic Mexican food. Menu items are authentic but not regionally specific. There are favorite dishes from Puebla and Oaxaca; and from the east and west coasts. Our chef, Jose Acevedo was trained in Mexico City and is supported by an experienced management staff.
Talo's chips and guacamole are made to order, the freshest you will ever have. Everything is made from scratch, including the tamales and sauces. The kitchen maintains an inventory of 20 types of chiles and 6 kinds of Mexican cheeses to bring you Mexico's most authentic flavors. Servers are trained to know all of Talo's nuances and can answer any questions you may have about ingredients, cooking techniques or even the artwork. Expect seamless service from an attentive staff.
The dining room at Talo is designed to be elegant, yet casual; interesting, but not overwhelming. Details include terrazzo floors, a furnished lounge area, leather wall tiles, hand-blown glass chandeliers, 100 year old pine tables, and beautifully crafted woodwork. The art collection features contemporary Latino artists including commissioned Paloma Torres sculptures, two of Flavio Garciandia's exquisite abstract oil paintings, and photographs by Mexican cinematographer Gabriel Figueroa.

Jose and Ofelia Castellanos opened their first restaurant in the city of Orange in the late 70's, fulfilling a dream they had both shared. This was only the beginning because Jose had another dream, to entertain. His passion for music drove him to open his first restaurant nightclub in Anaheim by the early 80's and shortly after a second nightclub in Fullerton. An American Dream come true...
well, not just yet.
Jose had his sights even higher. This time he wanted to open an up-scale supper club with an International Latin cuisine and live entertainment with the finest tropical orchestras from all over Latin America. What did he do? On the 16th of September in 1986, he did just that.
JC Fandango opened to immediate success filling a niche for an up scale Latin nightclub. Live orchestras playing salsa, cumbia and merengue, fine Latin dining and unsurpassed service.
