Located on the southern lap of the majestic Himalayas, Nepal is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. Nepal's ethnicity and friendly culture have both been uniquely Nepali, as well as, evolved with influence from India, Tibet, and the rest of the modern world. Typical Nepali cuisine has its own identity with a blend of tastes from rice-based, North Indian spicy curries and sweets, to dumplings and noodle from Tibet and China. The steamed juicy momo and daal-bhaat with curries, soups and achaar - staple festive food to the locals - are typical Nepali dishes enjoyed by thousands of tourists, trekkers, and mountaineers traveling to Nepal and Tibet each year. This restaurant is run by a Nepalese family, and also serves mostly Nepalese, North Indian and Tibetan dishes. It's a small place, and can often get crowded at night, so be prepared for a short wait. They offer a lunch buffet all seven days of the week. The buffet is extremely vegan and vegetarian friendly. The "Tallest Taste" menu offers diverse options for the meat-lover, the vegetarian and the diner who can't add enough hot spices to their stir-fry. What's not to love? Order a combination of the Tibetan Momo varieties to start. You'll get some of the tastiest steamed dumplings you've laid a fork on. Don't be afraid of the yak meat, it's actually even leaner than chicken and tastes wonderful. If you're a curry fan, you've got to try Khasiko massu for your next course. Linger over a lassi and enjoy the intimate atmosphere and eastern flair that's hard to find elsewhere.
