Industry veteran Jennie Yip blended Eastern tradition with Miami flair at Miss Yip Chinese Cafe. Modeled after a Shanghai teahouse, the restaurant design is simplistic but enriched with exotic details; most noticeable is the high, open ceiling, deep red booths, and intricate, oriental wallpaper. Regulars go for the homemade dim sum or the daily lunch special, a choice of entree, rice and vegetable spring roll, but more neo-traditional dishes include the steamed golden corn shrimp ball or sliced duck and mango salad.
