Vinology was created to be your everyday wine bar. Over the years our family has enjoyed sharing wine, food, and spirits through our love of experimentation and education. From our experience we created a place for you to enrich your life with a menu and atmosphere that fits every style, taste, and budget. With over 100 wines served by the bottle and 50 by the glass from around the world, we're sure you'll find more than a few gems to adore. Enjoy our wine flights, focused food and wine pairings, Specialty Drink menu, classes, relaxed conversation and more.
To create the warm contemporary atmosphere of Vinology we worked with local designers to maintain the historical attributes of the space while relating the decor to wine education. To evoke the elements of the wine making process we used materials of stainless steel, cork, and glass. Our preservation efforts lead us to restore the tin ceilings and exposed brick walls and create four separate spaces for our guests to enjoy. Vinology has a room for every mood.<P>Vinology was created with an extensive menu because we are as passionate about food as we are about wine. We believe in using quality ingredients that are fresh and unique to create wine friendly world cuisine. Our menu rotates seasonally with fun and inventive small plates, specialty artisan cheeses, traditional entrees with a nouveau twist, and house made desserts. Bring the little ones along as well, as we've got great selections for kids, too. There's something for everyone at Vinology.

A hidden gem in Novi, Shiro Restaurant is housed in a 1929 mansion and makes for a memorable dining experience. "Shiro," who gets it's name from a word that means "white castle" in Japanese is an elegant three-story, white mansion dating back to the antebellum period. It has four white columns adorning the front porch, gabled attic windows and French doorways throughout. The main entrance leads into the manor's foyer, complete with a grand staircase. The restaurant's dining rooms are located throughout the house and include private dining rooms and a Japanese tatami room.
In addition to its wide-selection and creative combinations of sushi, Shiro offers traditional appetizers and entrees, including salads, noodle bowls, tempera, teriyaki meals, bento boxes and hibachi. Shiro's dinner menu also includes Filet Mignon and Rack of Lamb. Shiro utilizes fresh, quality ingredients, its sauces provide the signature element to accommodate its dishes. Everything from the sushi to the shumai is served with its own unique dipping sauce. Each type and variety of sauce is delicious, complementing the food like a fine wine.
In addition to the food, the restaurant has extensive wine and saki lists that offer several varieties by the glass or bottle.
