PI Pizzeria Wine Bar is Adam's Morgan answer to the traditional brick oven pizzeria. Pi uses a charcoal oven to prepare its gourmet style pizzas and pastas, and provides a menu stocked with other traditional Italian staples. All dishes are made with locally grown, hand made, and simple ingredients; a process dubbed as "slow-food," that supports local farmers and produce, and is predominately organic, vegetarian, and vegan. PI's split-level venue infuses an eclectic, retro vibe on the bottom level with a more contemporary bistro style social lounge on the upper level. Come for the great food, and constantly changing array of domestic wines that are sure to please even the most discerning palette. After acquiring the beautiful building at 32/34 Main Street in Historic Downtown near Courthouse Square, and realizing the opportunity to create two separate restaurants, the first-time restaurant owners set about to put their vision of unique, simple, delicious dining into motion. "We don't believe that our guests have to dress up and pay high dollar for quality, fresh, locally grown gourmet food." Sweeney's Cellar, the "distinguished dining" restaurant is located one floor below street level and harkens back to the Speakeasy Days during Prohibition. Featuring a full bar concentrating on our specialty Martinis, plus two dining areas, complete with stone walls, granite etchings and two hearthstone brick fireplaces, Sweeney's offers a menu which changes almost daily presented at the table on blackboards by your server. Each menu item is created by Chef Todd and his staff to feature offerings from local farmers, Farmer's Markets and Virginia grown products, such as Farm Fed beef, pork and chicken, fresh produce, and local cheeses. Sweeney's Cellar strives to offer "farm to table" specials each night.
