The North African countries of Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia have evolved their own unique style of cooking known as Maghreb cuisine.
Maghreb cuisine has a wide variety of influences. Its origins stem from the ancient Arab world, its modern influences have come from Europe through Spain and France.
From Arabic cuisine, the Maghreb inherited the traditions of couscous, tajines, baranya, kebabs, and the use of aromatic spices.
