The Vintage Tea Leaf was opened in March 1997 to provide you with the warm, relaxing atmosphere of a European tea room. Beverly, the Tea Mistress, invites you to enjoy the serenity of tea, whether your visit is for a brief stolen moment, or a relaxing afternoon with friends, family, or a good book.
To enhance the enjoyment of your tea experience, we invite you to select a vintage hat, and an antique bone china teacup from our extensive collection. Our spacious tea room seats 80 guests comfortably, amidst antique furniture, Italian marble floors, crystal chandeliers, fine art, and gentle music. We invite you to visit our tea and garden gift shop to select the perfect tea party accessories, or a unique gift item for friends or family, wrapped to perfection.
The Vintage Tea Leaf is open Thursday through Monday from 11:30 am to 6:00 pm. Since our kitchen closes at 5:00 pm, you will want to reserve your tea seating no later than 4:30 pm.
All luncheon services and tea cuisines are the Tea Mistress' personal and family recipes, prepared on premises using the freshest ingredients. The quality, freshness, and presentation of tea and tea cuisine is an art that requires time and loving attention. Welcome to the Four Seasons Tea Room, situated at the base of the foothills in quaint and quiet Sierra Madre, California. Opened in 1991, the Four Seasons Tea Room is one of the most established and respected tea rooms in Southern California. We are located in a traditional California Bungalow home with hardwood floors, crown molding, chair rails, linen window treatments, floor to ceiling paned windows, wall sconces and antique furnishings.
In addition to our two dining rooms, guests may relax over tea in our spacious garden patio. Tea is served in china teapots with bone china teacups, silverplate flatware as well as pressed and starched fine linen napkins for a traditional afternoon tea experience. Our signature egg-washed scones are baked to order and served with house cream and raspberry jam. Sandwich flavors change with the seasons and are presented with edible floral and fruit garnishing.
Tea items and giftware may be purchased in our foyer. And free parking is available on the street in addition to in the public lot across from us. We look forward to the opportunity of serving you at the Four Seasons Tea Room where every season is the perfect season to enjoy a relaxing afternoon tea.
Events at The Four Seasons Tea Room are truly special, whether it is a party of your own planning or one of ours such as a wine tasting or theatrical tea event presented by Gypsy Theater.
