40/40 Club

On June 1, 2005 Construction began on the $4 million 40/40 Club co-owned by business mogul Jay-Z. The 15,000 square foot ultra sports bar and lounge opened its doors on October 25, 2005.
The multi-level upscale sports bar and lounge, located at 2120 Atlantic Avenue at The Walk (in front of Caesars Hotel and Casino) features more than 30 TV's and four VIP rooms that fans of the 40/40 club have become accustomed to in New York. The space will also be home to a cigar lounge and retail shop that will feature 40/40 Club clothing and accessories.
"Atlantic City is the second stop on our 40/40 club world tour." said Juan Perez. "We are very excited to be a part of this growing community and the new Atlantic City expansion project, 'The Walk.'"
The 40/40 Club is named after one of baseball'smost prestigious plateaus. A benchmark for powerand speed, The 40/40 Club denotes players who hit 40 home runs and steal 40 bases in one season -- only Barry Bonds (1996), Alex Rodriguez (1998), Jose Canseco (1988) and the newest fourth member, Alfonso Soriano (2006) can call The 40/40 Club home.The four jerseys of these men grace an area of thelounge to honor their great accomplishment."I decided for my second location to be consideredhome and New Jersey is home," said Jay-Z.The décor of 40/40 is a mix of memorabilia from this country's greatest games coupled with AC vibe.
12 plasmas (three of which are 60"), four 12' X 12' two-sided big screen TV's, a premium cigar room and three private VIP rooms. Two of the VIP rooms,the "Caesars Diamond Club Lounge," appropriatelynamed after the master of casino entertainment, Jay's casino of choice, and "A Rod Lounge"(24' X 16' each), are fully equipped with their own personal entertainment centers, 60" plasma TV's, Italian leather wrap-around couches, all controlled by their own touch-screen remotes. Each room can hold up to 70 people for private parties and events.
