Tell us a little about yourself:
I am a retired computer expert, and now work exclusively with music. I direct two a cappella choirs (hence my nickname). I play the piano, and I love movies, good food, reading and puzzles. Many people find me very funny. I live alone in a large house with a little garden, and would love to share it with the right woman.
And she must live in Israel!
I speak these languages:
English (mother tongue). Hebrew (mother tongue level), German (get by)
My turn-ons and what I’m looking for in a person:
These are NOT prerequisites, and in no particular order: believes in caring and sharing, sense of humor, good looking, English speaker (though I am fluent in Hebrew), musical, knows and likes to cook, likes animals, non-religious, non-smoker. A giver as well a taker. Accepting me as I am.
My turn-offs and traits I avoid from a potential partner:
Manipulator, over-domination, poor conversationalist, chain-smoking, extreme (and I mean really over the top) in any of the following: drinking, health freak, religious convictions, nagging, workaholic.
My favorite restaurants, local hangouts, or travel destinations:
Restaurants: Grilled meat, Chinese, Italian - actually almost anything.
Hang outs: Concerts. You could also drag me to a bridge club (and perhaps get disappointed...)
Travel destinations: Rio, London, Berlin, and many more!
My favorite music:
Long hair stuff (classical, preclassical, romantic, post romantic, and a lot of modern).
Choral music of all kinds - well , that is my profession.
My favorite Books and Authors:
Authors: Twain, Carrol, Eco, Poe, Shakespeare, Shaw, Coben - dozens and dozens of others. Genres are also varied: Drama, mystery, humor, adventure.
My favorite movies:
In my top hundred of all time I would probably find: Fantasia, Citizen Kane, City Lights, The Usual Suspects, Phantom Of The Opera (original) and Pulp Fiction, but I would nominate hundreds of others. Anything with Laughton, Chaplin, Kaye, Welles. Any Spielberg or Disney. The list is endless.
My favorite TV Shows:
Don't watch much I'm afraid. I liked The Weakest Link and other quiz shoes. I abhor the 'reality' shows and 'song contests.'
My favorite pets or animals:
I've always had dogs (giant size - love them) in my house when not living alone (like now). Cats were welcome as long as they stayed outdoors. Goldfish are okay, too - if they're not too noisy...
Here are a few more of my favorite things:
When not sharing activities with my partner: running my company, arranging songs in four-part harmony, reading another good book, solving crosswords and Sudoku, using the Internet to browse and converse.
Here are some things I could do without!
Dishonesty of all kinds, religious coercion, attempt to change me, noise, threats.
