In My Own Words…
Tell us a little about yourself:
Would you want to tell a story about how your eyes locked across a table and you just knew you were meant for each other? I like occasional charms like receiving flowers, sharing an ice cream cone and wearing heels. Been watching that matchmaker show with the great date ideas: skating, go-carting, ride over the city lights---dreamy! I enjoy my grown daughter, because we still shop, go out to eat and my friends like a girls' night out, too, and with being single, those closest to me are an involved part of my life as we try to participate in civic and charitable works. I'd like a traditional, romantic relationship with dancing, taking your arm, side by side conversations over finger food... It's about balancing the day-to-day life with fun companionship, listening to music or laughing at each other's jokes---that amazing experience that comes from becoming deeply attached. Isn't it a lot more fun to watch Capra's It's A Wonderful Life with shared Chinese take-out?
I speak these languages:
French and Russian, but speaking has gone to the back burner with the occassional read paragraph or foreign movie.
My turn-ons and what I’m looking for in a person:
for fun:
Enjoy an evening out, a park concert or looking out over the water. Tourista activities and checking out community theatre, ballet and musical performances are uplifting. Quaint, scenic small towns, like Newport, RI; the oceanviews are breathtaking.
My favorite restaurants, local hangouts, or travel destinations:
favorite hot spots:
Napa Valley is the most romantic area I've been fortunate to visit. I enjoy sight-seeing big cities, especially checking out a festival in Manhattan. Driving the eastern shoreline to Florida, sampling regional cuisine and galleries in DC is fun.
My favorite Books and Authors:
last read:
Will read up on many subjects, inspired by PBS channels and the internet. Will flip through any available magazine from Rolling Stone to Newsweek, Town & Country or Glamour.
My favorite movies:
I do like Gone with the Wind epic dramas, and am a fan of TCM and AMC movie channels.
Here are some things I could do without!
Given a choice between happy-go-lucky and picky-but-lonely, happy sounds more interesting, but shun egotism, hard-heartedness and unconcern and favor character, intellect and heart, not unlike the TV sitcom character, Frasier Crane, a man of some intellect, fine tastes, and with an ability to adapt.
