Yeah! People who have heard of Spoon! This band is fabulous. Saw them live at Pitchfork Festival this past summer. It was the highlight of the weekend. I am presently consumed by The Decemberists "The Crane Wife" which is bloody brilliant.

This band is great! They have sound that is not purely derivative but does have a post BEATLES Lennon sound, a bit of Bowie and I even hear a little Blue Oyster Cult in there(One of my guilty pleasures)...The bands songs do not suffer from excessive overdubs, dumb guitar solos,etc.. thats why they sound so good live. Check the band SPOON out!

This album is not very good. The mix is muddy. There are some inane interludes in the album and the Bassist just doesn't stand out the way he did on Lateralus or Aenima. The drummer is of course phenomenal but it doesn't save the album.I Think this album is the portent of their breaking up.

Remember the old punk/new wave?

Hi, I'm a SWM, 46, in Philadelphia, PA. I haven't kept up so much with the latest music. I really like the early punk/new wave: Ramones, Devo, B-52's, Nina Hagan, Clash, & Bow Wow Wow. Some of the more "recent" artists I enjoy are Letters to Cleo, Matthew Sweet, Tracy Bonham, Dance Hall Crashers, Le Tigre & Young Fresh Fellows. Anyone else like that swell old stuff? Drop me a line.

Rock music is where it's all at. The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Janis Joplin, Bob Dylan to name a few. Need I say more?
