You might try the "Poldark" series by Winston Graham, it was a PBS masterpiece theater series back in the '70s. Then there is my all time favorite "Wuthering Heights"

I simply adore Jude Deveraux and Julie Garwood.. One of the finest writers of historical romance. You would probably enjoy Remembrance and Legend by Jude Deveraux.

As a suggestion, I thoroughly enjoyed Marion Zimmer Bradley's 'The Mists Of Avalon' and prequel 'The Forest House' ... they are fictional novels narrated from a woman's view of the Roman/Druid era in England.

Awesome book, "The mists of Avalon"...I couldn't put it down. I wasn't aware there was a prequel. Thanks. Must get my hands on it.
