I am looking at buying a '65 Caddy Coupe Deville hardtop with only 13,000 original miles and paint that my friend is selling. Does anyone know of any websites or knowledge about determining a value? Thanks

One Owner 74 Stingray in my Garage

I purchased a 1974 vette new. It has been setting in my garage for the last 10 years. Flying down the interstate, a loud BAM noise and puff of white smoke resulted in my coasting to a stop. I called a tow truck and simply rolled in into my garage. It has never been moved since. Immediately, instead of continuing to maintain it without a good mechanic, I simply immediately ran out and purchased a 3000 GT. I fell in love with it until it finally broke down after 150,000 miles. Instead of fixing it, I simply scraped it to the highest bidder and proceeded to find a simple dependable car to replace it. Since I am no mechanic, few if any really good mechanics have I noted, I believe myself a fool to retain ownership of an older car. However, I have, regrettably, always surcumed to simply disposing of the older machine and obtaining a new dependable car. The corvette is somewhat different though. Outside looks nice. Maybe should replace engine, and redo interior though. If you hear of a vette lover that would really relish the though of a one owner white, stick shift 74 vette, let them know of the one that simply takes up space in my garage. Once I kept it in a barn for 10 years some years before putting it into service again. It is a pretty design and really fun to drive, e.g. in the Mexican Mountains such as between Victoria, MX and Ciudad Valles, MX with the T-tops off.

I drive a 2001 Gt. Got some goodies added. Now it flies. I used to drive small european automobiles before. I have to tell you they are pee shuters compared to my GT.
