Hi True columbia can be a little dry and Boring .The good thing is we are not that far from charlotte and charleston.
It seems so dead whenever I visit Columbia S.C

I have visited the Malls and other small places but it seems so dry there. What is really happening and when? I live in Augusta, Ga. which is about 45 minutes from columbia

I just recently moved to Columbia less than a month ago. From what I've seen so far, there is live jazz dowtown on Thursdays, then again for Sunday brunch. One thing you might want to keep in mind if you go back to Columbia is the VFW. Some people like to go there, but then again it might not be the place for others. What I've found from going to the VFW is it's a place to go to hear good music, to meet "older" or mature people, and to find out where the other happenings are. Those are just some of my thoughts. However, I was also thinking obout visiting Augusta to see what it's like It it a military city like Columbia? What are some things to do there for fun?
