Imago workshop for singles!!
March 12, 2010
from LorraineJoubert  LorraineJoubert

An Imago workshop for singles! Search for educationunlimited Harville Hendrix, indicates in his book Keeping The Love You Find that "So much of heartbreak could be avoided if we would postpone marriage until we learn what relationships are really about, and until we uncover the hidden land mines we bring to our partnerships". He says that as a single, you are in an ideal position to learn what you need to know, and what you can do to greatly improve your chances for finding and keeping love. You need to "... work on the things in yourself that need to be changed in order to have the partnership you yearn for." If you do this, you "change the kind of person to whom you are attracted... and (are in a) better position to attract someone who is willing and able to work to achieve deep and lasting love." So, please, follow the above link and register for the workshop. (Sorry, the March workshop has been canceled as the presenter was requested to present in another area.) When you have done so, would you please be so kind as to let me know? (I am not an organiser and are not receiving any remuneration for making you aware of this). I am doing this merely, because I am VERY excited about the Imago concept.
to any one who is interested

Saw this show at the Barnyard. VERY enjoyable. They managed to capture Queen's drama and power very well. Of course there is no way to capture ABBA in any way, so ABBA was vamped and powerful and funny... Oh yeah and they did do THAT one...

Art in the park -- Zoo lake, the first weekend of every month

Eventually went today! Several artists are exhibiting their art -- mostly paintings. Some are telling funny stories. Some are thrilling. Some are asking questions. Some are crying for help. Some are feeling. Some are seeing. I laughed. And then I cried (paintings of women carrying refuse size bags of Zimdollars on their heads, only to reach the shop, where the shopkeeper only accepts American dollars or SA Rand.) Then I smiled again. Then I was moved...

I spent a very relaxing and serene afternoon at the Botanical Gardens in Roodepoort. The soothing noise of the waterfall and river, contrasting with the tranquil silence at the bird hide-out just did it for me! The gardens give opportunity for a relaxing picnic on the green lawns, a 3 hour trail, shorter routes, with foot paths inviting me to follow them. Grass, forest, rock formations, birds, waterfall and river charmed me to visit there soon...

This is now really a jewel to have found! I just love to escape to here and recently found it is quite a nice place to meet people. One can pack a picnic basket or eat at the Moyo. If money is tight go for a stroll around the lake and when you get thirsty, buy a cold drink at the curio shop. Enjoy!

Newtown

I walked to Newtown today. Would've preferred to explore it with someone. Felt also a bit afraid as a boy was threatening to take my car,if I did not give him my cellphone, only 2 days ago. He ran off with my immobiliser, no pedestrian even trying to help. Called the police. The boy later returned the immobiliser - again demanding a phone, no help from the bystanders and I am still waiting for the police. I cannot believe this is the people who fought for their freedom. They are too scared and placid to even chase a boy!! Back to Newtown, seem like there is quite some places to hang out. Wish town was not so crime ridden, now one does not feel so free to go alone to places in town. Maybe I'll work out some way.

cool, u can say that again...inner city is changing face. it'll soon be a money spinner. Braamfontein is also getting busty...accommodation is very expensive there now.

The inner city crime is too high. Even Ponty is being revamped but who would want to live in such proximity to Hillbrow and Yoville except the people who lives there now. I live in the south and it's screwed up as it is but it will never change as long as all these aliens are allowed to jump our borders and take our people's jobs... The employers should also stop employing these people.
