Any one of these will work great - IBM (Lenovo), ASUS, Fugitsu. Have rearly repaired these makes. Most of the others are the main stay of my repair work plus DELL PC's and Laptops are absolute rubbish. As the saying goes "You get what you pay for"

IBM Machines are old and unfashionable. It is difficult getting drivers. Dell is a no-no. You can choose HP, Sony vaio or Toshiba but my favourite is HP. Good luck!

Yeah, if your not concerned about superior performance don't go Dell. Better to buy a touchy feely laptop by some multi media producer.

Hello dear friends, I am trying to buy a laptop. The only thing I am confused about is the difference between intel and AMD processors. What is the difference? Which one of those have a better performance? Why is there a big price difference? Thank you!!!

AMD have typically been a more affordable CPU than Intel. Intel you are paying for the name. That being said a core i7 or better is a very nice processor. Really depends what you use your laptop for. If you are not in to high end gaming, then really either one is fine. There is so much info on CPUs that this forum is not the place to really discuss. Options to consider are speed of processor, number of cores, cache size. Price will increase mainly based on speed of CPU. I would focus on how much RAM is installed in the laptop, whether it has one or 2 graphics cards, size of the hard drive, and stick with a good name brand like Dell or some such.

hello House, buying a laptop is not the problem, you can buy any laptop but it all depend on what you are into, currently am using HP 620, because of the Graphic Interface. So the Question you need to answer is what do you intend to use the laptop for ? If it just to browse you can get Toshiba or IBM
