Biking from Mumbai to Kolkata

Hi I wish to buy a bike and use it for cross - country runs accross India. Firstly, i want to know information for a bike ride from Mumbai to Kolkata. Anybody got any information on routes, what bike to choose, dangers on the road, roads to avoid or be careful on , packing for the trip etc, accessories I must have on my bike, spare - parts required etc, please let me know. Cheerios !!!!

It's makes me laugh to see posts all the way back to 2001... so rather than search those old ones again, Anyone around Tulsa or Ark. go for evening or weekend rides? I have my own and am sure I'll never (ok maybe) ride bitch again...

Poker Run this Saturday at Hooters...61st and Memorial! Registration starts at 9:00am..last bike out at 10:30...last bike in at 12:30. Hooters girls are doing a bikini bike wash after the run!
