Posted by aBaldBeau777 on Dec 16, 2012: For those who haven't seen this movie, it details a one night stand that's gone awry between an African-American couple in the American city of San Fransisco. The protaganist Micah (Wyatt Cenac) and his love/coital partner Joanne(Tracey Heggins)wake up from an intimate, inebriated encounter where Joanne shows a complete disinterest in Micah in her sober and more somber state. During the course of the movie, Joanne thaws to Micahs advances and finds some redeeming qualities in his working class humor and lifestyle. While this movie is not the best written in the world, I do respect its ambition to illuminate some light on African-American relationships and the socio-political matters that effect them in a refreshingly different way. The couple traipse through the city's cultural centers while discussing gentrification, class warfare, institutional and personal prejudices, and the like. I would definitely recommend this movie to anyone who finds the romantic-comedy film genre a little formulaic and hyper-sentimentalized. This is something you don't get to see everyday.

I can remember watching it and thinking that that could be a nightmare I'd have. I dont know how many of you saw the movie so Im not gonna give away the ending. One thing I can say though is about the guy who was trying to get to his girlfriend is she must have put it on him bad for him to run through New York with a monster terrorizing the city trying to get back to her. She must have had that fire you know what. Lol
