Doggie Flu Oktober 21, 2009

Both of my Corgies have canine Flu! They have been sick for a week with a slight fever, and congestion. Very gross coughing and sneezing. Snot rockets everywhere. Not knowing 100% if its the flu the vet put them on really strong antibiotics, antinausea , and decongestion meds. After 6 days of worry they have turned the corner and on their way to recovery. We were nearing placing them in isolation to give one of them breathing treatments.

I have 2 chihuahuas one is 21 years old the other is 1 year. Does any one know how to keep the young one from licking my hands? that really bugs me. Gary

RE: licking chihuahua Oktober 18, 2009 from kdavis1111   Minneapolis If you put something on your hands that tastes gross to the dog it will stop licking. I would try a dab of either soap, hot sauce or vinegar in between your fingers, then let the dog lick for a little until they are unpleasantly surprised.

Those are my two she-dogs. Both rescued from the street or should I better say They rescued me! They are so sweet, smart and lovely, I wish many people would behave like animals!!!

I have a 4yr old Japanese Akita-Inu, (chico) She is brilliant in the house,on her lead or in the car,just got her 2 weeks ago , also have 2 budgies,one all white and the other all yellow ( casper & jassy )Its surprising just how attached you get to your pets, have had the birds 6 years now & would'nt be without them,have also built up a very close bond with Chico , in a very short space of time.
