Blissfully happy with my best friends

Wondering if anyone else feels the same. My sister told me about this site to meet men - I am currently single but been in relationships since a teenager. She thinks (along with all my friends) I should be 'meeting someone nice'. I put my profile up & got some interest - which made me realise I'm quite happy the way I am! I have 2 gorgeous 'rescued' dogs who totally love me & I enjoy spending time with them the most. Just bcos the rest of the world wants to partner up doesn't mean you've got to!

Hi. Your message touched me. I would love a pen pal or maybe more? I have a old english bulldog-he's so handsome, like me. Just kidding. NOT. Please get back to me ASAP, and maybe we can exchange telephone numbers?

Dog...terrified (newmoon2)

Hi, My daughter's dog; the same. The vet advised that the dog have a "safe" place to hide. Our dog usually picks any place that's dark; thereby it doesn't see lightning flashes. The vet can give you medication (to help keep them calm) for your pet, to be best administered when you know bad weather is imminent. Good luck.

I haven't read the pet messages yet, so please forgive me if this subject's already been covered. Anyone have a suggestion for a dog that goes nuts during thunderstorms and firecrackers? She actually dug through the bathroom wall to the concrete once. Paces, and tries to burrow....sleepless nights for me. Would love to hear back. thx!

Hi, Try giving your puppy an old & recently worn sweatshirt or sweater with a small ticking clock inside. Sometimes that will work as the clock will simulate another dog's heartbeat. While you are awake you can try simply putting on the television or your CD player to divert attention from the loud sounds and vibrations. Best of luck, Chip

it might seem counter-intuitive, but the large (even giant) breeds are where you should be looking. if i might suggest, do an on-line search for Retired Greyhound Adoption Groups. greyhounds are truly amazing, lovable dogs, and thrive in smaller spaces. friends of mine used to be amazed when i'd tell them that both of my (now departed) dogs both nearly 3 ft. at the shoulder and over 70 lbs. slept with me, until they saw the tiny balls these big boys rolled into.
