We must understand that the history behind why Paul said what he said. God did not command that women should not speak, that was all Paul. Study the history of the church during Paul's time. The Biblical times there where women judges that God appointed over the children of Israel, Deborah was one. Woman prophets. God uses who He will, he is not a respecter of person.

To TorontoStar: You can have all your opinions about how men should act and how women should be like. It does not really matter. My question is why we take Jesus's (or actually Paul's) words that women are not allowed to speak at churches as God's words. By the way, at all the churches where I have been, women speak a lot and loud, and they said they believed in Jesus.

Well, the first Question everybody has to answer himself, is the Bible written by God for us, means he used man, inspired them with His Holy Spirit and man wrote what God wanted to have written down. Secondly can the Bible not be understood without the Spirit of God, the Spirit will reveal what the writer wrote down, means as long as you are not born again by the spirit, the Bible sounds very confused to you. In one area they are called to kill, in other areas it says if you hate somebody it counts before God allready that you killed this person and you are not supposed to kill. Without the spirit of God you can not understand, but when the spirit of God reveals it to you, then you will know what these passages mean. Let the spirit of God answer you yourself your question.....

I would like to say that Star War was inspired by God, therefore, it was God's words. Wonder how you can prove me wrong. Is there someone who claimto have spirit of GOd so he can explain those conflicts. As someone might say, God use someone to talk His words out.

You have to find that out yourselves, what was given by God and what wasn't.... :) w w w.gotquestions.org/Bible-inspired.html If you have a relationship with God, then let Him tell you that. If you don't, then continue to seek Him, because if you seek Him, you will find Him, if you open your heart, He will come in and have fellowship with you....

I was just watching Star Wars the other day, and I can truly see a spiritual part in that movie. The force I believe is God because God is Spirit and the Dark-side is Satan. We either live in one or the other. We either service one or the other. God sent his Son to deliver us from the Dark-side into His light. So whether its a woman of man are men and women being saved? We must remember that the first witness to Jesus resurrection was a woman. Why did Christ reveal himself to a woman first and not to the Apostles? Because it was a woman seeking him out. To know the truth of something we must seek truth and through the Holy Spirit, truth well be revealed. So I would agree that Star Wars was inspired by God.
