i like your perception. am a mother of 3 i have been divorced for 2 years now. The dating scene is hectic especially when you find a guy who will like back off the moment you mention you have kids. So i tell most men i date that i have 3 kids on our first date. My kids dont get to meet my dates unless he requests it. I think it is only fair to be as open as possible, tell the guy that you have kids early so that if he wants to back out he does so. after all we still have our beautiful kids and our own lives to lead. Dating should be fun and a good part of our life and it should never be our life

I am a single MALE parent who has a 8 and 12 year old %75 of the time. I have a really hard time dating because a lot of women don't want to deal with kids. The thought of a Brady Bunch scene is pretty daunting.

i just wanted to let you know that you are not alone but i can assure you that you will find one who will love you as well as your kids. in relationships its quite tricky when you have kids, but hey i have been there. If you find one who does not like you coz of your kids, just know that someone better is coming your way. Just keep looking around you will find.

to be honest, I do not have that problem because I tend to discuss the kid thing up front( I am a single father raising two boys 12 and 14 ) and I tend to date only single moms. They tend to relate to me better anyway b/c they understand where I am coming from and my priorities.

I am the single parent of 3 girls an 18, 16 and 5 year old. about a year ago my wife cheated on me and left me and the kids it has been a struggle but my girls help me a lot.

Why were you wity him then. You sound like you must have been desperate? What were you attracted about? For those of you that have children and say you are not looking for a father figure, then you are just looking to date men... Not a real relationship. For those of you looking for a real relationship, YOUR CHILDREN will be a big part of your decision making. I have full custody of a 19 year old girl and am both Mom and Dad.
