I'VE BEEN A PARENT FOR ONLY 4 YEARS,BUT I REALIZE IMMEDIEATELY THAT OUR KIDS ARE SO PRECIOUS AND NO STRANGERS DESERVES TO PUSH IN ON THAT SO I TALKING TO THIS SINGLE FATHER THAT YOU'RE DAUGHTER IS MISSING AN IMPORTANT THING IN HER LIFE AND NO ONE BUT THE LORD CAN GIVE HER THAT SO AT A YOUNG AGE TECACH HER ABOUT HER OTHER FATHER TOO.I LOST MY MOM AT 10 AND I WAS LUCKY TO HAVE NO BABIES A COLLEGE EDUCATION FAMILY SUPPORT AND A GREAT DAD.THEIR OUR LIFE SO BE PATIENT

Welcome to the real world... Been there done that.. It's lonely being a single parent and the need for companionship gets the better of us sometimes. I've learnt the hard way that I have to put my kids first and even though I would love to meet someone to share my life with, I don't think it's possible. Most single people r not looking for a ready made family. Can't blame them they are who they are and it's good to know from the get go how they feel. Hang in there maybe one day your knight in Rusty (I don't think shiny armors exist anymore) armor will come along. It's all cool.

very well said,... i have dated guys before and when a few have been able to want to commit...that includes my daughter...because shes part of me ,...hence part of whatever i decide...ive never heard so far that words " I dnt want a ready family" so there must be good guys out there ...ive met some !! even if it didnt work for some other reasons...

I am a single dad not "just one of those guys". Women like you are why guys don't want a ready made family. A real man will want to be involved with you completely. You are saying he won't be allowed to do that. So the easy way of telling you to piss off is saying he doesn't want a ready made family.

Yeah we're better off without him and his drama in our lives. You know I do introduce my dauaghter to a guy with I date him only because 10 out of 10 (LOL) my daughter is with me when I met anyone, you see I'm new to Georgia and I don't have that family support. On the plus side it's good that my daughter gets to see and met the fellows because kids are a good judge of character and if my daughter does'nt like him for whatever the reason I am known to make myself unavailable. And, hand when my child is introduced to this guy that is my chance to check for the "Vibes"....his interaction... if the guy seem to stand off, then that shows me that he's not interested maybe due to the fact that I have a child (my child and I come as a package). And, on the other hand, still speaking of "Vibes".... if the guy seem to interested or over-friendly I get the hell away no further contact. He may mess around and get peper-sprayed. I'm not looking for a father for my child either but I want my daughter to feel comfortable with him as he do with me and I with him. As a single mom....a good man (family oriented man) in our life will benefit the both of us.
