Without sunlight,life cannot exist on earth. The greatest part of sunlight energy is stored in plants...coz they use it in photosynthesis to make their food. Vegetarians there4 get access to almost all the plant-stored solar energy, compared to those who eat animals which have themselves eaten plants directly.

One doesn't have to eat meat, one chooses to do so. And, with doctors telling others that it's unhealthy because they want to keep making money off the resultant cancer victims, well...it's so sad! What they do to the animals is horrific. :(

Good question. Why anyone would do so is beyond me. Maybe they're not aware how the animals are slaughtered? Maybe they don't know that the meat industry puts poison into the animals. Whatever it is, I feel for those still eating meat.

I think it is a cultural notion that the primary way to consume protein and nutrition is through animal based sources. What people don't truly appreciate is that humans were NEVER engineered to be connivores. I definitely concurr with "Disillusioned" that a major source of our internal illnesses is due to our animal-protein diet!
