At FareStart, food is the tool that transforms lives. FareStart provides a community that successfully empowers men, women, and families to create new opportunities through food service training, life skills training, and job placement. The FareStart Restaurant is open for (wide-ranging and delicious) lunch Monday-Friday from 11:00am â€" 2:00pm, and for Guest Chef Night dinners (three-course gourmet meals prepared by local chefs and our students) on Thursdays from 6:00pm - 8:00pm. Guest Chef Night is $24.95 with wine and beer available for additional purchase. The centerpiece of the space is the FareStart Community Table, made from ceiling beams reclaimed from the building renovation. By dining in our restaurant, you can enjoy great food while supporting FareStart. All proceeds from lunch and Guest Chef Night go directly back into the program to help fund FareStart job training and placement programs.
