Avenue Restaurant

English, European

7-9 St. James's Street Westminister, England

The Avenue is a stunningly beautiful restaurant and bar in the heart of St James's in the West End of London. When The Avenue opened in December 1995, St James's hadn't seen anything quite like it. Traditionally the home of sleepy Gentlemen's clubs, it awoke with something of a start when The Avenue's beautifully contemporary dining room took London's retaurant scene by storm just before Christmas that year. Since then, a number of other restaurants have opened in St. James's, but none come close in terms of its modern cooking, fabulous service and magical atmosphere...

The seafood couldn't be any fresher since it is sourced from the boats and the fish market below. It's then treated with care, flair and imagination before being delivered promptly to your table. Why not relax? Diners, drinks in hand, are afforded a spectacular view of historical, industrious and captivating Whitstable Harbour whilst they wait.

Chez Bruce

English, French

2 Bellevue Road Wandsworth, England

From the very outset, it was my intention to serve the very best food but in a relaxed, informal yet thoroughly professionally run environment. Over the years we have been lucky enough to garner many prestigious awards, but it has never been our inclination to rest on our laurels. In kitchen, wine and dining room departments, we simply strive to improve - it is the only way forward.

Idlewild

English, French

55 Shirland Avenue, Maida Vale Westminister, England

Idlewild has created a whole new category for those looking for a night (or day) out. Best described as a Pub Restaurant Deluxe, it features a classic British menu and bar quality cocktails, in a venue which is quite stunningly unique. Downstairs in the restaurant an air of sophistication and sense of establishment is given with the use of hand crafted chandeliers (think Hotel Costes) and a 26ft long solid pewter bar. A courtyard garden sits snugly behind on a lower floor and will be a perfect hideaway on hot summer days. And then to top it off â€" literally â€" on the first floor, is a grand apartment style cocktail lounge. Petrol blue in colour with huge chandeliers of the like never seen in a bar before, casting an almost sunset like light throughout. Framed creepy crawlies and butterflies line the stairs on the walk up to this drop dead gorgeous bar. It is a confident and inspiring room to spend time in.

Founders' Hall

English, European

Founders’ Hall is a striking, distinctly contemporary venue, centrally located on one of the oldest streets in London, but hidden away from the bustle of the City. Three stunning, perfectly proportioned rooms distributed between three floors provide a charming mix of very different styles.
