The Black Bull

The Black Bull was purchased by the Hamiltons on the 1 st of May 2003. Jim, father of Rhona, Jimmy and Kirsty, farmed at Gartfarran Farm - 2 miles ,from the village - and is well known in the farming community and surrounding areas. He got the chance to buy the hotel as it was always his dream to own it one day. All meats are sourced from local farm-assured stock through Trossachs Butcher and Deli in Aberfoyle. Gleneagles trained head chef, Andy Cowan, came in to run the kitchen. Andy has worked in large hotels in Central Scotland such as Gleneagles, Airth Castle, Golden Lion, and others, and is well respected in the catering and hotel industry. Andy will cater from a bar meal to coach parties, weddings, and birthday nights, with the help of our friendly staff at the Bull. We also run a courtesy bus to and from the hotel, so that you can relax after your meal and have a drink without worrying about drinking and driving.

1745 Cottage Restaurant, Traquair House

Cafe Gandolfi

Cafe Gandolfi was opened in the old Cheesemarket in 1979, the first conversion in what is now the vibrant Merchant City area of Glasgow. Named after the noted family of photographers the Cafe has become famed for its stunning interior, principally through its display and usage of wooden furniture designed by Glasgow School of Art graduate Tim Stead. In addition, the Cafe boasts a delightful stained glass window designed by John Clarke which offers a colourful contrast to the rustic wooden restaurant interior.
